The Extensometer adds the capabilityof testing elastomeric materials such asrubber, vinyl, semi-rigid plastics, andplastic films to the EJA VantageUniversal Materials Tensile Tester.
Quick release clamps are ergonomicallydesigned to allow one-handed operationfor ease of specimen loading andoperator safety. The clamping force iseasily adjusted to control the pressureexerted on the sample. The extensometeris equipped with 2 independentoptical encoders for increased accuracyand durability. A thumbscrew mechanismensures accurate gage length adjustment.
The EJA Vantage interfaces directlywith the extensometer and results areautomatically displayed utilizing MAP-3software.
The extensometer clamps directly on the sample and provides elongations up to914 mm (36 in). Quick release clamps are ergonomically designed to allow onehandedoperation to simplify specimen loading and ensure operator safety. Theclamping force is easily adjusted to control the pressure exerted on the sample. Theextensometer is equipped with 2 independent optical encoders for increased accuracyand durability. A thumbscrew mechanism ensures accurate gage length adjustmentranging from 10 mm to 50.8 mm (0.5 in to 2 in). The extensometer is capable ofmeasuring samples that are 6.35 mm (0.25 in) thick and 16 mm (0.625 wide).
