Environmental chambers provide the ability to evaluate the effect of temperature on the physical properties of materials including textiles, fibers, plastic films and composites. A full line of grips and adapters that insulate the load cell from heat transference operates in conjunction with the chamber to offer a total solution for environmental applications.
Chambers are available in temperatures ranging from -100° F to 600° F (-73° C to 315° C) and in dimensions up to 20 in H (508 mm) x 10 in W (254 mm) x 12 in D (305 mm). The large internal space provides travel for testing a variety of materials and simplifies changing grips and fixtures.
Specifically designed for use with Thwing-Albert’s EJA Vantage-1 and Vantage-5 single-column frame, the chamber is shipped pre-mounted on roller mounting brackets that allow the chamber to slide out of the way for testing without the chamber.

The chamber provides the ability to test materials from -100° F to 300° F (-73° C to 149° C). A full line of grips operates in conjunction with the chamber to meet a wide range of applications.
The chamber has an internal height dimension of 20 in (508 mm) providing enough travel for testing a variety of materials including textiles, fibers, plastic films and composites. In addition, the large internal space makes changing grips and fixtures a simple matter.
The chamber is shipped pre-mounted on the Vantage frame and easily slides on bearings for testing with or without the use of the chamber. A built-in viewing window and internal light enables the operator to view the test in progress. In addition, the door is equipped with an upper and lower locking device and an interlock switch that cuts power to the heater when the door is open.
The Vantage chamber is equipped with a Eurotherm 2116 temperature controller. This advanced system ensures excellent set point temperature control and will shut down the unit completely as soon as the defined temperature is reached.
