Circular compression platens are available in three different diameters 50 mm, 100 mm and 150 mm .
Steel platens will handle a more concentrated load than aluminum, but are slightly more expensive. Aluminum platens are generally used for softer samples and point loads must be avoided.
Consists of an upper compression plate (7.98” dia) and a perforated lower platform that is elevated from the mounting serface to allow for rapid escape of air during the test.
Complies with ASTM 3574. Ideal for measuring IFD (indention force deflection) and CFD (compression force deflection)
