A clamping ring, with an inside diameter of 44.4 mm holds the sample securely. A cam-type clamping action simplifies sample insertion and removal. As the crosshead moves, a 25.4 mm diameter ball presses against the sample until it bursts. Complies with ASTM D-6797.
(2) The MTA-2000 offers a streamlined design with advanced electronics and a pneumatic clamping system to measure bursting strength. Two different models are available enabling the testing of most materials including paper, board, corrugated board and textiles.
Two Burst Tester Models:
MTA-2000P (up to 1100 kPa)
This tester is ideal for testing paper
and lightweight material.
MTA-2000C (from 350 to 5500 kPa)
This tester is ideal for testing paperboard ,
corrugated board, and heavy-weight
materials.
The SS-21 determines the short span compression strength of papers (SCT) for quality control and R&D testing tasks.
It offers complete statistical analysis, a parallel port for
the connection of a local printer and a RS-232 serial
port for the connection to a host computer for data
transfer.
The Vantage Compression/Softness Tester is a
compact, PC-controlled instrument that provides
an objective measure of material softness by
evaluating sample loft, thickness, compressibility and
structural softness of sheet materials including
paper tissue, toweling, non-wovens and textiles.
